Histotopographic features of squamous cell lung cancer with keratinization against cicatrix

Abstract

The lack of a unified concept of morphogenesis determines the need for detailed morphological studies of peripheral lung cancer that occurs on a background of chronic lung disease. Histotopographic studies found that keratinizing squamous cell lung cancer begins in tuberculous cicatrix and is characterized by the presence of three zones. Tumor process in the given localization is secondary, as indicated by the peripheral location of cicatrix and manifestations of chronic inflammation. Zone of tumor masses with cancroid corpuscles, proliferation zone and invasion zone are specific for tumors of both central and peripheral localization.; Відсутність єдиної концепції морфогенезу визначає необхідність детальних морфологічних досліджень периферичного раку легень, що виникає на фоні хронічних захворювань легень. Пухлинний процес на тлі рубця є вторинним, про що свідчать периферичне розташування рубця та наявність ознак хронічного запалення. Зона пухлинних комплексів з «раковими перлинами», зона проліферації та зона інвазії характерні для пухлин як центральної, так і периферичної локалізації.
