Organization of distance learning of clinical anatomy and operative surgery in quarantine

Abstract

Пандемія коронавірусної хвороби, спричиненої COVID-19, суттєво вплинула на всі звичні процеси суспільного життя. Для запобігання поширенню вірусу серед учнівської та студентської молоді в Україні, як і в більшості країн світу, керівникам закладів освіти було рекомендовано організувати роботу працівників закладів освіти дистанційно. Тому організація навчального процесу в умовах карантину стала повністю залежною від сучасних інформаційних технологій та Інтернету. Під час дистанційних практичних занять зі студентами викладачі кафедри клінічної анатомії і оперативної хірургії перевагу надають використанню Інтернет-платформи Google Classroom. Вона не потребує використання складного технічного обладнання, дозволяє створювати класи, навчатися в яких можуть усі студенти, яким викладач надасть відповідний доступ. Наш досвід свідчить, що основні складові освітнього процесу можуть бути відтворенні на базі Google Classroom. Використання Інтернет-платформи GoogleClassroom дозволило організувати активну дистанційну роботу викладачів із студентами, які вивчають клінічну анатомію і оперативну хірургію. Заняття у Google-класах дозволяють не тільки донести до студентів важливу навчальну інформацію, але й об’єктивно оцінювати стан їхньої індивідуальної підготовки та рівень отриманих знань. Брак роботи на фіксованому матеріалі можна певним чином компенсувати демонстрацією навчальних відеофільмів із записами оперативних втручань.

The pandemic of coronavirus disease caused by COVID-19 has significantly affected all the usual processes of public life. In order to prevent the spread of the virus among pupils and students in Ukraine, as in most countries of the world, the heads of educational institutions were recommended to organize the work of employees of educational institutions remotely. Therefore, the organization of the educational process in quarantine has become completely dependent on modern information technology and the Internet. During the distance practical classes with students, teachers of the Department of Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery prefer to use the Internet platform Google Classroom. It does not require the use of complex technical equipment, allows you to create classes in which all students can study, to whom the teacher will provide appropriate access. Our experience shows that the main components of the educational process can be reproduced on the basis of Google Classroom. The use of the Internet platform GoogleClassroom allowed to organize active remote work of teachers with students studying clinical anatomy and operative surgery. Classes in Google classes allow not only to convey to students important educational information, but also to objectively assess the state of their individual training and the level of knowledge acquired. The lack of work on fixed material can be compensated in some way by showing educational videos with recordings of surgical interventions.
