Modern approaces to the teaching phthisiology to english medium students in conditions of distance learning

Abstract

В сучасних умовах стрімкого прогресу науки і техніки концепція якості освіти набуває особливої актуальності. COVID-19 вноси деякі корективи у сферу медичної освіти. Кафедра використовує декілька технічних моделей дистанційного навчання. Лекції з туберкульозу проводяться у форматі онлайн-конференції в програмі Microsoft Teams. З кожної теми cтуденти проходять тестування в системі Moodle відповідно до календарно-тематичного плану. Під час онлайн-уроку про Zoom або Google Meet вчитель опитує тему, виправляє відповідь, використовуючи попередньо завантажені матеріали - презентації, відео, фотографії та рентгенограми, що допомагає засвоїти матеріал. Маючи великий досвід у підготовці спеціалістів для зарубіжних країн, кафедра туберкульозу та пульмонології розглядає цю роботу як справу національного значення. Навчальні програми для англомовних студентів відповідають вимогам і не відрізняються від базових програм, за якими навчаються їхні однолітки-українці. За кредитно-модульною системою навчальна програма студентів четвертого курсу медичних факультетів передбачає аудиторну роботу (лекції та практичні заняття), позакласну (самостійну) роботу студентів та підсумковий модульний контроль.

In modern conditions of rapid progress of science and technology, the concept of quality of education becomes especially relevant. COVID-19 has made some adjustments in the field of medical education. The department used several technical models of distance learning. Lectures on tuberculosis are conducted in the format of an online conference in the program Microsoft Teams. For each topic, students are tested in the Moodle system in accordance with the calendar-thematic plan. During an online lesson on Zoom or Google Meet, the teacher interviews the topic, corrects the answer using pre-loaded materials - presentations, videos, photos and radiographs, which helps to master the material. With extensive experience in training specialists for foreign countries, the Department of Tuberculosis and Pulmonology considers this work as a matter of national importance. Curriculum for English-speaking students are in line with the requirements and do not differ from the basic programs for which their Ukrainian peers study. According to the credit-module system, the curriculum of fourth-year students of medical faculties provides classroom (lectures and practical classes), extracurricular (independent) work of students and final module control.
