At the present stage of development of higher medical education and the health care system of Ukraine, there are many important innovations designed to bring the relevant aspects of our country's life closer to a high civilizational level, enrich our medicine with new achievements that will improve the quality of life of the population, increase its duration. Against the background of improving the technological component of medical education, the issues of spirituality, worldview, and inner perception of the world do not lose their significance. The formation of these qualities in future doctors is ensured through mastering the system of bioethical competencies and scientific foundations of medical deontology, the ideological foundations of which were laid at the end of the XIX century in the scientific and pedagogical activity of M.V. Sklifosovsky and continued both in theoretical studies and in the course of practical activities of doctors and scientists in the field of medicine. In order to increase the possibility of obtaining a qualitative result in modern higher medical education, in recent years there have been changes in the regulatory framework (transition to a new curriculum, introduction of the legislative framework of the credit-modular system of organization of the educational process), state certification was introduced; According to the principles of ensuring the quality of education, the material and technical base of educational institutions is updated, new information and communication technologies for organizing the educational process are introduced. Medical education in today's conditions is obtained in three stages by a combination of theoretical course and practice: undergraduate medical education – at least 6 years, or 5500 hours (requirements: National Standards of Education, Standards of Higher Medical Pharmaceutical Education (IUD)); postgraduate medical education – from 2 to 10 years (requirements: education standards, IFI standards, standards of care (treatment protocols); continuous professional development – throughout life (requirements: Navy standards, standards of medical care, achievements of science).
