Abstract: Під впливом пандемії COVID-19 заклади вищої освіти перейшли на режим дистанційного навчання. Карантинні обмеження призвели до того, що навчальний процес закладів вищої освіти не міг відбуватися без застосування сучасних освітніх інформаційних технологій у контексті проведення електронного навчання. Через пандемію заклади вищої освіти, зокрема ті, що здійснюють підготовку педагогічних та медичних фахівців, були змушені швидко реагувати на неочікувані зміни, спричинені пандемією та перебудовувати весь навчальний процес.
Under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, higher education institutions switched to distance learning. Quarantine restrictions have led to the fact that the educational process of higher education institutions could not take place without the use of modern educational information technology in the context of elearning. Due to the pandemic, higher education institutions, in particular those that train pedagogical and medical professionals, were forced to respond quickly to unexpected changes caused by the pandemic and to restructure the entire educational process. Professional competence training of a biology teacher involves the acquisition of general and subject knowledge. No less important in the distance learning of future biology teachers is the use of interactive technologies and equal kind of info-media exercises. Due to these interactive tools, the organizational capabilities of students are significantly increased. Students become more active and creative individuals who, in the perspective of professional activity, will easily find an approach to the students they will teach. Students - future teachers of biology communicate with teachers mainly through e-mail, Viber, as well as through online platforms such as ZOOM, Classroom.google, Skype. The use of such interactive online platforms as Moodle, VirtuLab, Prentise Hall, BirdID, Ukrainian Biodiversity Information Network, Biodiversity Data Center, BioDiversity of Ukraine, BioDigital, Anatomyka also plays a special role in the professional competence training of future biology teachers in distance learning. : Human Anatomy Atlas, LearningApps. Online platforms such as ZOOM, Classroom.google, Moodle, VirtuLab, etc. have also been used in higher education institutions that train doctors for distance learning. In most institutions of higher education that train future doctors, the organization of the educational process taking into account the requirements of qualification characteristics for the training of doctors as professionals, especially in pandemic constraints required the formation of various forms of online learning. Online platforms such as Skype fo Business, Ratos, Viber, EDX ZSMU, etc. were in active use for accurate and prompt presentation of educational information, as well as control of the mastered material by students - future doctors, and messengers and mobile applications were widespread in social communication. Vocational training of future doctors is also not effective if it takes place in distance learning. The student as a future doctor must practically master the future profession, while practicing the practical skills of a doctor. It is ineffective to train a student as a future doctor who has only a theoretical knowledge base and does not have the practical skills and abilities of a doctor, because the practical skills depend primarily on saving lives. Distance education in the professional competence training of future biology teachers and doctors should be only in elective subjects or in elective topics. However, the situation under the influence of pandemic constraints shifts the learning process from traditional full-time learning to distance learning, which in the long run may negatively affect the professional performance of future teachers of biology and medicine.
