Лекція: «академічний динозавр» чи «птах Фенікс»?

Abstract

Розглянуто низку питань, пов’язаних із сучасною академічною лекцією. Уточнено термінологічні розбіжності щодо терміна «лекція» в українськомовному, англомовному та франкомовному дискурсах. Основну увагу сфокусовано на ролі лекції як гуманітарного явища. Приділено увагу таким характеристикам сучасної лекції як інтерактивність і продуктивність. У висновках зазначається, що лекція залишається не лише «економним» а й, за умови правильної організації, ефективним засобом набуття знань. Автори наголошують, що найважливіше завдання лектора полягає в такій організації діяльності слухачів (студентів), в основі якої лежать активні процеси слухання, розуміння, осмислення матеріалу.

The paper examines a number of issues related to the modern academic lecture. Terminological disagreements regarding the term «lecture» in Ukrainian, English, and French discourses have been clarified. The main attention is focused on the role of the lecture as a humanities phenomenon. Attention is paid to such characteristics of the modern lecture as interactivity and productivity. In the conclusions, it is noted that the lecture remains not only "economical", but also, under the condition of proper organization, an effective means of acquiring knowledge. The authors emphasize that the most important task of the lecturer is to organize the activity of the listeners (students), which is based on the active processes of listening, understanding, and comprehension of the material.
