Abstract

В статті приведені сучасні погляди на причини передчасної втрати зубів. Актуальність проблеми обумовлена збільшенням поширеності передчасної втрати зубів серед осіб як похилого так і молодого віку та потребою у заміщенні дефектів зубних рядів у даного контингенту осіб. Проаналізовано, що найбільш поширеною причиною передчасної втрати зубів є патологія тканин пародонта, зокрема генералізований пародонтит. Оцінено, що за умов впливу пластинкових знімних протезів спостерігаються зміни слизової оболонки порожнини рота за рахунок постійного механічного травмування, впливу широкогоспектру температур і подразнюючих речовин, що ушкоджують тканини.
