Психологічні особливості адаптаційного періоду ортодонтичного лікування

Abstract

Ортодонтичне лікування - це дуже складний і тривалий процес, який поділяють на 3 періоди: адаптаційний, активний, або редукційний, та ретенційний. Велика доля успіху в ортодонтичному лікуванні залежить від досвіду та компетентності лікаря, його вміння прогнозувати результати лікування. Алене рідко застосування сучасних способів лікування не дозволяє досягти бажаного результату через недостатньо враховану лікарем- ортодонтом психологічну підготовленість пацієнта до лікування та його віри в успішність останнього. У середньому пацієнти різного віку припиняють розпочате лікування в 35,7%, з яких 50% - це діти. Однією з причин переривання ортодонтичного лікування є складний період адаптації.; Orthodontic treatment is a very complex and lengthy process, which is divided into three periods: adaptation, reduction and retention. The success in orthodontic treatment depends on doctor’s experience and competence, his/her ability to predict the outcome o f treatment. But usually the modern methods o f treatment don’t allow to achieve the desirable result due to ignoring o f patient’s psychological readiness to treatment and his/her believe in it success. On average, patients o f all ages stop treatment in 35,7%, o f which 50% are children. One reason fo r the interruption o f orthodontic treatment is a difficult period o f adaptation. Depending on temperament and psychological preparation, orthodontic patient will respond differently to pain during orthodontic treatment. On comparison o f using ofplates-technique the treatment by means o f bracket technique causes stronger pain during first 6 days. Patients treated with removable structures feel a low level o f toothache, which doesn’t not disappear completely. Only patients with removable appliances have speaking disorders. 50% o f patients after 30 days o f treatment still notice minor speaking disorders. The percentage o f patients with restrictive orthodontic braces equipment and plates were almost the same and did not exceed 25%.
