We looked after 469 patients with gastro-intestinal bleeding for 5 years in a clinic. At 318 (68%) bleeding reason was ulcerous illness: duodenum - at 232 (72,9%), stomach - at 86 (27,0%) hospitalized. 123 (38,6%) ipersons were hospitalized later than 24 hours from the beginning of disease. In the moment of hospitalization first (anemia degree were marked in 136 (42,7%), second degree - in 117 (36,7%), third degree in 65 (20,6%) patients. The inspection of patients and treatment v/ere performed simultaneously. Tactic of treatment was determined taking into account few factors. Main from them was the state o f local hemostasis in an ulcer, which was determined at urgent eimplementation of FGDS. W e used classification of Forrest. In the moment o f hospitalization, bleeding proceeded л(F-I) at 136 (42,7%), stopped (F-II) at 165 (50,6%) patients, stopped proof- at 17 hospitalized.
