Зібраний матеріал поглиблює теоретичні засади сучасного термінотворення, розширює уявлення про способи формування медичних термінів-епонімів та сприяє увиразненню лінгвістичного трактування поняття «епонім». Отримані результати висвітлюють специфіку формування зазначеної медичної терміносистеми та лінгвістичні особливості її тематичних груп, окреслюють лексичний фаховий дискурс з позиції сучасної когнітології, лінгводидактики та перекладознавства, з метою удосконалення напрямків щодо визначення основних проблематичних питань щодо окреслення та уніфікації фахової мови в аспекті вивчення специфіки становлення сучасних терміносистем.The article analyses and identifies the specific features of medical eponyms, which allows us to distinguish their status in national medical terminology systems. The collected material deepens the theoretical foundations of modern term formation, expands the understanding of the ways of forming medical eponyms and contributes to the clarification of the linguistic interpretation of the concept of "eponym".
