| Abstract: | The article is devoted to Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov – one of the outstanding representatives of world medicine of the 19th century. The authors analyzed the biography of this prominent scientist, surgeon, therapist, anatomist and pathologist, the founder of field surgery and topographic anatomy, one of the pioneers of plastic surgery, a well-known teacher and innovator, reformer of Russian education due to the multifaceted interests and depth of personality of this doctor. |
