Abstract: Osteoporosis is a systemic progressive disease of the musculoskeletal system, caused by the loss of bone mass with the disrupted microarchitectonics of bone tissue, which leads to an increase in bone fragility and the risk of fractures. This disease is observed in all age groups, regardless of gender and race, but the highest prevalence is observed in Caucasians (white race), postmenopausal women, and the elderly. With an aging population and a decrease in life expectancy, osteoporosis is increasingly becoming a global epidemic
