A.; Клипаченко, Інна Валеріївна; Левков, Анатолій АнатолійовичThe processes of globalization and internationalization are the main factors, which have made a great impact on the evolution of higher education in the last decades of the 21st century. The number of foreign higher degree students in Ukraine has grown at a significant rate in recent years, with the country offering a high quality higher education and, as a result, becoming one of the main European hubs attracting students from all over the world. In the article, the term “foreign student” is referred to any student who goes to another country in pursuit of learning. Since the emergence and popularization of the recent trend of studying abroad, the topic of adaptation of foreign students has become of the key interest among modern European scholars who have become concerned with studying the peculiarities, issues and challenges of living and learning in an unfamiliar social, cultural, and academic environment. With no doubt, studying abroad delivers new knowledge, experiences, and opportunities. However, the adaptation to a host country and a new environment that is far away from home countries, families, and friends, sometimes takes a long time. Moreover, usually, it is challenged with several difficulties including lack of motivation, discouragement, depression, stress, anxiety, psychological conditions, culture shock, loneliness, misunderstands, conflicts, communicating with peers, language incapability, understanding lectures, learning new social norms, and interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds. As a result, these stressors have a great impact on foreign students’ physical and psychological well-being and challenge their wish, motivation, opportunity and capability to participate fully in the process of the cultural and academic adaptation. Even if the universities and host society provide helpful sources and advantageous conditions to enhance the process of their adaptation, sharp differences in socio-communicative environments of the countries, as well as cultural and language differences pose several problems foreign students usually face influencing their present academic performance and future professional medical practices. In the article, the authors discuss the issues of the geographic, psychological, socio-cultural, and linguistic methods of adaptation that have an impact on foreign students’ academic performance, social integration, and career. The authors represent the findings of several studies on the topic exploring characteristic features of the adaptation of students in the higher education institutions of Ukraine. The general purpose of the article is to examine the adaptation using a theory-based explanatory approach. In this study, the adaptation is discussed as part of the social responsibilities of the universities and foreign students. On the one hand, higher education institutions must provide the necessary services and activities to help foreign students to combat the stressors they face in the process of adapting to the Ukrainian socio-cultural and educational environment. Moreover, universities need to ensure equal rights and opportunities for students’ participation in academic life, as well as apply the most effective methods of foreign language learning. To study the response of the sciatic nerve trunk’s hemomicrocirculatory bed to a single administration of cryopreserved placenta and intraperitoneal administration of λ -carrageenan. Material and methods. An experimental study was performed on the sciatic nerve trunk of 100 sexually-mature rats. Histological research methods were used. It was established that when transplanting a cryopreserved placenta, all parts of the hemomicrocirculatory bed (HMCB) respond. Thus, the resistive part of the sciatic nerve trunk HMCB during cryopreserved placenta transplantation was characterized by a gradual increase in the mean diameters with the maximum value on the 5th-7th days and their complete recovery on the 10th day of the study. In the simulation of acute aseptic peritonitis there is a sharp decrease in diameters on the 2nd-3rd days, followed by their increase on the 5th-14th days and recovery on the 30th day. Results. In transplantation of cryopreserved placenta, the exchange link of the HMCB reacted significantly by increasing the mean diameter of the capillaries on the 5th day. In the simulation of acute aseptic peritonitis, the mean diameter of the capillaries increased on the 1st day and did not return to the control group limits on the 30th day of the study. Capacitive link responded to transplantation of cryopreserved placenta by an increase in diameter with the maximum value on the 5th day and recovery on the 10th day of the study (p <0.05). When simulating acute aseptic peritonitis, there is also an increase in diameters with the maximum value on the 7th day. On the 30th day of the study, the index value did not reach the limits of the control group. Conclusions. A single administration of cryopreserved placenta fragment causes shortterm changes in the hemomicrocirculatory bed with the maximum values on the 5th-7th days of the study, in contrast to a single injection of 5 mg of λ-carrageenan (Sigma - USA), which leads to reactive inflammation and lasts for over 30 days.Документ Характеристика структурних компонентів стовбура сідничного нерва при введенні кріоконсервованої плаценти у щурів(Вищий державний навчальний заклад України "Українська медична стоматологічна академія", 2018) Свиридюк, Р. V.Ушкодження переферичних нервів різними чинниками є актуальною проблемою сучасної практичної та експериментальної медицини. При враженні запальним процесом переферійних нервів, лікування, та реабілітація таких хворих займає тривалий час. Метою дослідження було встановлення змін морфометричних параметрів структурних елементів стовбура сідничного нерва у щурів при одноразовому підшкірному введенні кріоконсервованої плаценти. Стовбур сідничного нерва був вилучений від 50 статевозрілих щурів-самців лінії "Вістар". За допомогою мікроскопу з цифровою мікрофотонасадкою проводили морфометрію наступних показників: загальна товщина сідничного нерва, товщина епіневрію, товщина периневрію, товщина ендоневрію. Виявлено, що показники загальної товщини, епіневрію та ендоневрію стовбура сідничного нерва щурів реагували збільшенням показника з максимальним значенням на 3-у добу експерименту та повним відновленням їх параметрів на 7-му добу. Встановлено, що відновлення всіх показників до значень інтактної групи було виявлено на 7-у добу експерименту. Вищевикладене припускає, що нормалізація всіх морфометричних показників сідничного нерва на 7 добу може бути тільки після одноразового введення кріоконсервованої плаценти; Повреждения периферических нервов различными факторами являются актуальной проблемой современной практической и экспериментальной медицины. При поражении воспалительным процессом периферийных нервов, лечение и реабилитация таких больных занимает длительное время. Целью исследования было установление изменений морфометрических параметров структурных элементов ствола седалищного нерва у крыс при однократном подкожном введении криоконсервированной плаценты.Ствол седалищного нерва был от 50 половозрелых крыссамцов линии "Вистар". С помощью микроскопа с цифровой микрофотонасадкой проводили морфометрию следующих показателей: общая толщина седалищного нерва, толщина эпиневрия, толщина периневрия, толщина эндоневрия. Выявлено, что показатели общей толщины, эпиневрия и эндоневрия ствола седалищного нерва крыс реагировали увеличением показателя с максимальным значением на 3-е сутки эксперимента и полным восстановлением их параметров на 7-е сутки. Установлено, что восстановление всех показателей до значений интактной группы было обнаружено на седьмой день эксперимента. Вышеизложенное предполагает, что нормализация всех морфометрических показателей седалищного нерва на 7 сутки может быть только после однократного введения криоконсервированной плаценты; Peripheral nerves injuries by various factors is an actual problem of modern practical and experimental medicine. When inflammatory process affects peripheral nerves, treatment and rehabilitation of such patients takes a long time. The purpose of the study was to establish changes in the morphometric parameters of the sciatic nerve trunk structural elements in rats with a single-dose subcutaneous administration of the cryopreserved placenta. The sciatic nerve trunk was removed from 50 sexually mature rat males of the “Wistar” line. Using a microscope with a digital microphotography, morphometry of the following indices was performed: total thickness of the sciatic nerve, thickness of the epineurium, thickness of the perineurium, thickness of the endoneurium. It was revealed that the indices of total thickness, epineurium and endoneurium of the sciatic nerve trunk in the rats responded with the index increase, the maximum value being observed on the third day of the experiment and the complete restoration of their parameters on the 7th day. It was found that the restoration of all the indices to the values of the intact group was observed on the 7th day of the experiment. The above facts suggest that the normalization of all morphometric indices of the sciatic nerve for 7 days can only onset after a singledose administration of the cryopreserved placenta.
