The book of Psalms is one of the most original books of the Bible. It includes as many as 150 songs and is considered as one of the poetically coloured wisdom pieces. The Psalms are the prayer of the centuries for both Jews and Christians. For centuries, they have inspired theologians, mystics and artists. This article, continuing the started research cycle of the Old Testament sources of biblical pedagogy, takes up the pedagogical dimension of the Book of Psalms. The author focuses on the influence of the biblical Psalms on the phraseology of the Polish language and provides appropriate examples (in linguistic and cultural dimensions).
