Документ Comprehensive psychotherapeutic support to patients and their caregivers in palliative care(GS publishing Services Sherman Oaks, 2023-12) Vasylyeva, Ganna; Васильєва, Ганна ЮріївнаOncological diseases are unique in that they cause significant psychological problems for the patient and his family. For most patients and their family members, oncological diagnosis is a direct synonym of doom, a kind of death sentence, and severe suffering. Understanding the serious and specific problems that arise is crucial for effective care for oncological patients. Stress in late stage oncological patients is associated with various factors, such as rapid tumor progression, real or expected infirmity, patient personality traits (awareness of adverse prognosis, fear of pain, death), and poorly controlled pain syndrome, social factors (loss of employment, social status and family leadership by patients; real or perceived sense of isolation; financial difficulties associated with illness; concern for family members) treatment (repeated unsuccessful attempts of radical treatment and developed side effects), relationships with medical professionals of oncological institutions (lack of continuity at different stages of treatment). Patients with malignant neoplasms have a difficult time handling psychological problems due to various factors, such as their age, the duration of the oncological disease, the severity of their symptoms, their religious beliefs, and support from relatives, etc. An incurable disease and an older person’s death are perceived more calmly and seen as an inevitable part of the life cycle.Документ Coping with war stress in Ukrainian students(Springer, 2024-04-28) Kundii, Zhanna; Skrypnikov, Andrii; Isakov, Rustam; Kutsenko, Natalia; Zinchenko, Natalia; Vasylyeva, Ganna; Кундій, Жанна Петрівна; Скрипніков, Андрій Миколайович; Ісаков, Рустам Ісроїлович; Куценко, Наталія Петрівна; Зінченко, Наталія Олександрівна; Васильєва, Ганна ЮріївнаWar is one of the most severe stress factors that can lead to anxiety-depressive disorders, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional dysfunctions. 106 students of the I-III courses of the Poltava State Medical University participated in the study of the personal students` characteristics of overcoming military stress in the conditions of a full-scale war in Ukraine. Based on the research results a low level of stress resistance was found in 36.7±0.3% of students, and a marginal level – in 47.2±0.3%. Students with a low stress resistance level demonstrated a high degree of stress load against the background of the predominance of the formation of maladaptive strategies of coping behavior, therefore they belong to the risk group of the development of psychosomatic disorders and adaptation disorders, they need psychological support in order to optimize the psychological resources of the individual to successfully cope with the state of stress, minimizing its negative impact, forming sustainable methods of protective behavior and coping, which in turn will be a guarantee of preserving the health of future employees of the health care system. The ability to effectively cope with stressful situations, using resources of stress resistance, will help students not only to be socially-adapted individuals who make responsible decisions in professional activities and effectively interact with people, but also to maintain health by giving up destructive ways of coping with stress.Документ Peculiarities of suicidal activity and antivital experiences of patients suffering from malignant neoplasms and psychotheraputic correction(Видавниче приватне підприємство «Професійні видання», 2018-12) Vasylyeva, Ganna; Mykhaylov, Boris; Васильєва, Ганна ЮріївнаIn the article, there are presented the general peculiarities of formation of the suicidal activity and antivital experiences in oncological patients; the general ways and methods of correction of suicide behavior of these patients.
