The intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) model is a well-established experimental model of acute brain injury. ICH develops a significant functional deficit, the level of which depends on the volume and localization of the hematoma, inflammation, and lesions within the ventricular system of the brain. The analysis of experimental studies shows that the majority of papers on the subject of neurodegeneration, neurogenesis, brain plasticity, the role of non-glial elements in the brain are limited to the study of the effect of treatment in a short period (1, 3, 10, 20 days, etc.). However, recovery processes in the brain are longer and require analysis at a later date. In our study, we aimed to evaluate neurological deficit and behavioral responses in adult male rats in the acute and long-term period after ICH and the dynamics of spontaneous functional recovery.
