Анотація
In recent years, we have observed a tendency to increase the prevalence of periodontitis among the population. The data from epidemiological studies prove this assertion. A close relationship between general diseases of the body and damage to the hard tissues of the teeth and periodontium has been revealed by numerous studies. Dystrophic and inflammatory processes in the periodontium can be the first clinical signs of disorders in the presence of various somatic diseases.
