Залучення засад second language acquisition у викладання латинської мови у медичних закладах вищої освіти

Abstract

Викладання латинської мови у вітчизняних ЗВО традиційно спирається на граматико-перекладний метод. Проблема свідомого використання професійних термінів у живій комунікації постає другорядною. Серед сучасних викладачів давніх мов спостерігається тенденція до актуалізації ідей SecondLanguageAcquisition С. Крашена. Вони зосереджують увагу на аспектах «Input» та «Authenticresources», якими постають не лише давні тексти, але й подкасти, блоги, відео у соціальних мережах тощо, створені латинською мовою. Завданням нашої роботи є розгляд дотичних точок між застосуванням принципів SLA для вивчення латини як такої та застосуванням цих ідей під час викладання латинської медичної термінології.

Ukrainian tradition of teaching Latin language in medical higher education institution is based on grammar and translation method. The conscious usage of the professional terminology in live communication is considered secondary issue. In recent years the tendency to re‒actualize S. Krashen’s ideas of The Second Language Acquisition has been observed among ancient languages teachers. The educators focus on the Input and the Authenticresources, considering as such not only ancient texts, but podcasts, blogs, video in social media etc. The aim of our thesis is to discuss possible connections between application SLA principles to teaching Latin language per se and usage of those ideas in teaching Latin medical terminology.
