    Problems of diagnostic of the state of pulp and pulpal diagnoses in children

    The aim: to analyze diagnostic methods of the pulp status in children and align pulpal diagnoses with international and Ukrainian classifications. Material and methods: The authors searched for articles via Google using keywords such as «pulpitis classification», «pulp diagnostic in children», «reversible pulpitis», «irreversible pulpitis», «pulp necrosis» combined with «primary teeth», «permanent immature teeth». Also evidence of primary data was evaluated by levels of evidence statements and grades of recommendations for questions relating to diagnosis. Results: Level of evidence of primary data about methods of pulpal state diagnosis varies from 2 to expert opinion, grade of recommendation is C-D. Sensibility tests can be used for pulp diagnosing in primary and immature permanent teeth, in conjunction with other clinical diagnostic aids. Such conditions of pulp as complete pulp necrosis, pulpless and infected root canal system, previously treated pulpitis, and previously initiated therapy could be included in the Ukrainian classification. Pulp hyperplasia only partially corresponds pulpitis chronica hypertrophica and may be associated with any form of reversible and irreversible pulpitis. In international classifications, partial pulp necrosis includes pulpitis chronica gangraenosa and pulpitis acuta purulenta from the Ukrainian variant. Conclusions: Pulpal diagnosis in children relies on observation of clinical and periapical radiographic findings. While the Ukrainian classification covers various forms of pulpitis, it could be expanded to include pulp conditions, but only some of them completely correspond diagnoses of the Ukrainian classification. Therefore, the development of new classification of the status of the pulp in children is promising and challenging task.

    The study of dental status through determination of the degree of preservation of paleoanthropological material

    Aim: To introduce a simple classification system for the degree of preservation and quality of the dentoalveolar apparatus into scientific circulation to further investigate dental diseases in ancestral populations. Materials and Methods: The sample analyzed consisted of the remains of 499 individuals from the human populations that existed in the territories of Ukraine from the Copper Age to the Bronze Age. Teeth and jaws were examined macroscopically under bright light; dental changes were evaluated by probing. Dental radiographic examinations were performed using retroalveolar and panoramic X-ray films in adult individuals. Results: The authors divide the dentoalveolar apparatus of fossil and subfossil skeletons into ten levels for further medical investigation of dental diseases. These levels depend on the preservation degree and changes in jaws and teeth. Conclusions: The study of bone and tooth preservation, determination of skeletal sex, and age characteristics is a separate section and stage in reconstructing the physical type of individuals and the health status of a community. Studying the taphonomic features of odontologic anthropological material should be a mandatory prerequisite preceding its analysis in paleopathology. The condition of the dentoalveolar system can be classified into ten levels for paleopathological conclusions. This classification will be helpful to doctors specializing in forensic medicine and anthropologists.

    В останні роки стоматологічна наука різних напрямків швидко розвивається, переймаючи досвід за-кордонних нововведень. Проте, не дивлячись на впровадження високотехнологічних методів лікування стоматологічних захворювань, загальнодоступні методи попередження виникнення стоматологічної пато-логії часто залишаються у забутті. Одним із пріоритетних напрямків сучасної стоматології є турбота про стан підростаючого покоління. Вивчення структури стоматологічної захворюваності, а також виявлення факторів ризику найбільш поширених стоматологічних захворювань сприяють прогнозуванню їх ди-наміки і диференційованому впровадженню програм профілактики розвитку патологічних процесі.

    У статті представлено результати теоретичного та емпіричного вивчення показників смисложиттєвих орієнтацій в системі факторів професійного вигорання викладачів закладів вищої освіти.Представлено результати теоретичного аналізу феномену професійного вигорання викладачів закладів вищої освіти, системи чинників їх виникнення. Описано методики дослідження та характеристики вибірки.Проаналізовано показники загального рівня та компонентів професійного вигорання викладачів закладів вищої освіти із різним рівнем осмисленості життя, окреслено зв'язок між рівнем осмисленості життя та характеристиками професійного вигорання педагогів.
