dc.description.abstractHemoglobinopathies, including thalassemias and sickle cell disorders are among the most prevalent inherited autosomal recessive blood disorders globally and pose significant public health challenges in India. The authors analyzed the types and peculiarities of hemoglobinopathies in India based on data from 2021 to 2025. Separate attention was paid to thalassemias, hemoglobinopathy E and sickle cell disease as well as mixed forms.
